The purpose of this webinar is to enable participants to increase their knowledge about the effects of stigma on HIV risk among sexual and gender minority populations.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Provide an overview of how the impacts of stigma lead to negative health outcomes
- Review the extent and contextual types of stigma and marginalization endured within young sexual and gender minority (SGM) communities of color in Pittsburgh, in addition to community perceptions of how and why such stigma is perpetrated and responded to
- Review lessons learned from a community-level intervention that strives to address HIV risk by reducing SGM stigma in the Black community-at-large in Pittsburgh
